The first Sui Global Hackathon has concluded, with 32 outstanding projects emerging.
The first Sui Global Hackathon has successfully concluded, with 32 outstanding projects emerging.
In the eight-week Sui Overflow Hackerthon event, 32 winning projects were selected from 352 submissions. These winners were awarded first, second, and third prizes across eight different tracks, with each track having two third prizes.
As the first global hackathon for Sui, Sui Overflow provides developers with a platform to showcase innovative ideas and Move programming skills. The participating projects cover multiple fields, from development tools to games. The competition started on April 21 and lasted until June 21, with participants presenting their project results to 47 judges on Demo Day, June 15. The judging panel consists of industry experts, investors, and well-known developers.
In addition to the main awards, the Sui community also selected 10 most popular projects through online voting. Furthermore, the competition particularly focused on student developers, awarding 10 student team prizes.
The participating projects come from 79 countries, with the highest participation from India, China, Nigeria, Vietnam, and the United States. The team members range from students to experienced blockchain developers, with many having development experience on Solana, Polygon, and EVM-based chains. The judges selected 65 projects to enter the finals, ultimately choosing the winners in each track.
