XRP and Huge Value Potential
The discussion about whether XRP could reach $100, $500, or even $1,000 is attracting attention. At first, it may sound far-fetched, but considering the practical applications, it's not necessarily so. XRP is designed to facilitate fast and cheap cross-border payments, something that the current SWIFT system is doing with a frequency of about $5 trillion a day. If XRP captures 10% of SWIFT's market share, that's $500 billion a day, which could push the price of XRP up to between $27 and $50.
Another scenario involves Nostro and Vostro accounts, where the bank holds $27 trillion for international payments. If XRP replaces 5% of that, it could free up a large amount of capital, potentially pushing the price of XRP to $80–100.
The ability of Ripple to become a licensed bank is also a notable point. When this happens, Ripple can provide lending, custody, and payment services, using XRP as the core, easily pushing the value of XRP beyond the 100 USD threshold.
Ripple has partnered with over 40 central banks. If XRP becomes the primary bridge currency for central banks, major financial institutions like the IMF or World Bank could rely on it. This could drive the price of XRP to the range of 250–500 USD.
In addition, the global derivatives market is valued at over 1 trillion USD. If only 0.1% of transactions occur through the XRP network, the price could exceed 1,000 USD. This is no longer just a dream but a feasible future based on its applicability.
So why hasn't XRP reached that point yet? Legal challenges, regulatory stagnation, and market uncertainty have hindered it. But if these barriers are removed, change could happen quickly. Bitcoin achieved its massive price thanks to trust, while XRP combines trust with real-world applications, partnerships, and proven technology. The issue is not whether XRP will increase in price, but when.
